Let women make their own decisions on reproduction

Why do doctors refuse to consider a tubal ligation in a young women? I know several women who have made the decision to not have children and would like to guarantee that by having a sterilisation but because they are under 40, doctors refuse on the basis 'they may change their minds'. The fact that they have genetic disorders they do not want to pass on, or really know they are not interested in having a child or simply feel there are enough people in the world anyway, has no relevance to a doctor.

So what if they do later regret their decision, it is still their decision to make. Have mandatory counselling if you must but let it be possible.

 

Why the contribution is important

A young women can make her own choices and should be allowed to do so.

    This subject is so important! Climate Change is impacted by a rapidly growing population, and 80% of the women in the world have no choice regarding the size of their families. This leads to stress, poverty, poor mental health, violence, and crime.

    Every woman should be given the opportunity to request sterilization as this article says.
    It is a matter of HEALTH: FOR THE WOMEN, THE CHILDREN, SOCIETY; AND THE WORLD.

    They won't let this happen we've only just got past having to have our boyfriends or husband's permission yes thes gets asked st times still

    Now as you've discovered they just say you might want kids later on
    There is a lot of gate keeping in the health system it's a hangover from male patricial views that women are only there to serve in procreateing the species
