Better support for Māori infertility

There is a huge gap in accessible support services for wahine Māori who face infertility. Undertaking fertility treatment is costly and criteria for public funding is unrealistic for wahine Māori. There needs to be more financial, mental or emotional support from a kaupapa Māori perspective. More obvious access to these support services, including rongoā and Māori healing is needed to support these women.

Why the contribution is important

It currently is extremely hard to find kaupapa Māori support for wahine Māori experiencing infertility, yet it affects many of us. More support financially, medically, mentally emotionally etc. is needed particularly from a Māori perspective.
