Post Graduate Support for Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Staff

Increase the funding  and eligibility criteria for post-graduate training of Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Workers

The nursing workforce has historically received significant funding from Health Workforce NZ for post graduate qualifications.  Funding for post graduate training support for AHST workfrorce has been far more limited and targeted at specific professions which may or may not be priority professions.  Increasing the pool for post graduate training and widening the eligibility criteria, would support career frameworks, increase workforce capability  and improve staff  retention.
